حول المغالطات الواردة في بيان #السفارة_الأمريكية في اليمن  بشأن فعالية نسائية في مدينة المكلا

تابعت مؤسسة إنسان التنموية (HDF) بقلق بالغ ما ورد في بيان السفارة الأمريكية في اليمن  بشأن ما وصفته بـ”مداهمة فعالية نسائية لحزب سياسي”، وما تبعه من إشارات غير دقيقة حول حرية التعبير والتجمع في المحافظات الجنوبية.

نود أن نوضح للرأي العام المحلي والدولي ما يلي:

1. الجهة التي تعرضت للمداهمة لم تكن كما ورد في البيان، بل كانت فعالية نسائية لحرائر الجنوب، المعبرات سلمياً عن حقهن في تقرير المصير واستعادة دولتهم، وهو حق مكفول بموجب المواثيق الدولية.

2. الجهة المنفذة للمداهمة والانتهاك كانت عناصر نسائية تابعة لحزب الإصلاح، المنضوي تحت جماعة الإخوان المسلمين، وهي جماعة مصنفة في عدة دول ضمن قوائم الإرهاب، وتاريخها في اليمن حافل بانتهاكات ممنهجة ضد الحريات والحقوق، خاصة في المناطق الجنوبية.

3. ما حدث في المكلا لم يكن انتهاكًا من قبل السلطات ضد حرية التعبير، بل كان اعتداءً على الجنوبيات من قبل عناصر حزبية، في محاولة لقمع الصوت النسوي الجنوبي الحر، وتشويه صورة الفعالية السلمية.

4. نرفض بشدة ترويج الإشاعات الكيدية التي تحاول قلب الحقائق، ونؤكد أن المحافظات الجنوبية، وعلى رأسها المكلا وعدن، تتمتع بمساحات واسعة من حرية التعبير والعمل الحقوقي، خاصة في المناطق المحررة، حيث ينشط الإعلاميون والحقوقيون دون قيود ممنهجة.

5. نؤكد في مؤسسة إنسان على أهمية احترام الحق في التعبير والتجمع السلمي، وندعو الجهات الدولية إلى تحري الدقة قبل إصدار بيانات قد تساهم في تغطية الانتهاكات الحقيقية، أو تبرئة الجهات المعتدية.

6. كما نؤكد على أن الحق في تقرير المصير هو حق أصيل للشعوب، لا يُختزل في فعالية أو بيان، بل هو مسار نضالي مستمر، تُعبّر عنه النساء والرجال في الجنوب بكل سلمية ووعي.

نأمل من الجهات الدولية، وعلى رأسها السفارة  الأمريكية في اليمن ، مراجعة مصادرها، والإنصات لصوت الضحايا الحقيقيين، وعدم الوقوع في فخ الروايات السياسية المضللة.

 Clarification Statement from Human Development Foundation (HDF)

 

Regarding the inaccuracies in the statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Yemen on a women’s event in the city of Mukalla

 

The Human Development Foundation (HDF) has followed with deep concern the statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Yemen, which referred to a “raid on a women’s political event” and included inaccurate implications about freedom of expression and assembly in the southern governorates.

 

We would like to clarify the following to both local and international audiences:

 

1. The group that was targeted in the incident was not as described in the statement. The event in question was organized by southern women peacefully expressing their right to self-determination and the restoration of their state—a right guaranteed under international conventions.

 

2. The party responsible for the raid and violations was a group of female affiliates of the Islah Party, which is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood—a group designated as a terrorist organization in several countries. The Islah Party has a documented history of systematic violations against freedoms and rights, particularly in southern Yemen.

 

3. What occurred in Mukalla was not a violation by authorities against freedom of expression. Rather, it was an assault on southern women by partisan actors seeking to suppress the free southern feminist voice and distort the image of a peaceful gathering.

 

4. We strongly reject the spread of malicious misinformation aimed at reversing the facts. We affirm that the southern governorates—especially Mukalla and Aden—enjoy broad spaces for freedom of expression and human rights work, particularly in liberated areas where journalists and rights defenders operate without systematic restrictions.

 

5. At HDF, we emphasize the importance of respecting the right to expression and peaceful assembly. We call on international entities to verify facts carefully before issuing statements that may obscure real violations or absolve the perpetrators.

 

6. We also reaffirm that the right to self-determination is a fundamental right of peoples. It cannot be reduced to a single event or statement—it is an ongoing struggle expressed peacefully and consciously by both women and men in the South.

 

We urge international actors, especially the U.S. Embassy in Yemen, to review their sources, listen to the voices of the actual victims, and avoid falling into the trap of misleading political narratives.
